Comfy has two plants in Manchester and one in Cheshire. Due to an ever expanding production schedule their previous compressor systems were struggling to perform and were unreliable. Comfy contacted Glaston Compressor Services seeking advise on how to manage the additional compressed air demands.

Glaston recommended the latest HPC Kaeser variable speed csdx 162 sfc compressor to provide efficient, cost effective production. In addition, a high efficiency Tundra dryer was proposed to provide a total package solution.

As well as supplying a new energy efficient air compressor and dryer, a new pipe work system was required for a extension to the Comfy facility. Glaston’s experienced service engineers began by extending the original pipe work system and then installed a new pipe work system into the extended section of the Comfy factory. They also attached connections to all the production machines providing Comfy with a quickly installed, flexible and energy efficient solution.

In addition, Glaston is now Comfy’s preferred service partner which will ensure the efficiency and high performance of the new equipment is maintained.
