Glaston Compressor Services Ltd is a UK leading specialist in air compressor intelligent control, nitrogen generators and energy management systems. Based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, Glaston has been established for 35 years and sold their first compressor in 1979. Glaston is a proud and fiercely independent family owned company with exceptionally loyal staff that has grown year on year and and is now a multi‐million pound market leading business. Questioned on the longevity of the company Michael commented,

Glaston has built a strong brand and positioning in the UK , with its range of compressed air and nitrogen generator systems. Asked about this Michael adds, “We take great pride in supplying new innovative equipment; utilising the latest energy efficient products and providing a market leading service which helps to ensures our position within the industry.”
Experts in the design, supply and installation of energy saving applications, their products include, Compressed Air Systems, Vacuum Pumps and Cooling Water Systems. In addition they also offer bespoke controls that are designed and manufactured as part of their Compressor Services. Glaston is proud to be an authorised UK distributor of HPC Kaeser Compressors. A spearhead for growth, this partnership has positioned Glaston at the forefront of technology.
Michael adds, “Many manufacturing companies are emerging from some difficult times and we are pleased to report an upsurge in capital equipment purchase and compressor sales. We are here to support our customers to achieve efficient operation and to drive down their energy costs.”
With this in mind, Glaston will be able to partner their customers to assist them to comply to the requirements of the new ESOS scheme, which is run by the Environment Agency and will apply throughout the UK.
The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment and energy saving identification scheme for large undertakings (and their corporate groups). In simple terms, an ESOS Assessment requires participants to do the following:- measure their total energy consumption, conduct energy audits to identify cost-effective energy efficiency recommendations and report compliance to the Environment Agency (as the scheme administrator). The qualification date is 31st December 2014 for 1st phase of the scheme.
