The cost of not using air compressor leak detection

It is very common for compressed air systems to experience leaks. These happen for various reasons, such as corrosion holes and poor pipe connections or seals. On average, the leakage rate tends to be around 25%, though some operations lose up to 80% of compressed air due to leaks. Just a 3mm hole in a compressed air pipe can cost your business up to £1,000 a year.

Generally, compressed air lost as a result of leaks should be less than 10% of your total compressed air production. As a result, we recommend that you use a compressed air leak detection service at least once per year. Regularly conducting ultrasonic leak detection will enable you to keep stronger control of your system and reduce potential energy wastage.
