Glaston support local startup launch their CNC laser cutting equipment

Glaston received an enquiry from MVS Laser, a new high-quality metal components supplier, based in Skelmersdale, in regards to installing a quality used compressor with new air treatment in order to run a laser cutting CSN system and support their ambitions to supply engineering countries around the country.

What the customer needed

With a limited budget to get up and running, MVS Laser were looking for the best quality used compressor system in order to run their expensive CNC laser cutting equipment. Their ambition is to become a top supplier of metal components for engineering companies across the whole of the UK and in order to do this, they needed a fast turnaround, which is why they contacted Glaston Compressor Solutions.

What Glaston did

Here at Glaston, we stock a range of quality used compressors acquired from companies we have supported for many years through our part exchange agreements. Due to our unrivalled knowledge and experience with compressors, we are able to maintain the used compressors to ensure they remain reliable and efficient for use.

For MVS Laser, we installed and commissioned a used turnkey compressor package, consisting of a quality used compressor, a new desiccant dryer with filters, condensate, and new air receivers. Commissioning is an essential part of any compressor installation as it guarantees that the compressor runs efficiently with maximum reliability. Should a compressor be installed using the wrong pressure settings, this can lead to the compressor rapidly wearing, causing major and costly breakdown.

What happened as a result?

This package would ensure quality air was being produced to maximise the quality of their finished product.
